David Wheildon

My time at Worcester was life changing. My course, accommodation, the people and the atmosphere of the city all made for an unforgettable three years. The English Literary Studies course was dynamic and provided opportunities to study a broad range of literature.

I was able to explore an impressive variety of topics, genres and periods through carefully structured modules that were all led by inspiring lecturers. Single Honours study meant that I could shape the direction of my studies to align with my particular interests and, during my first two years, I was also able to take elective modules in Business and Film.

After finishing my degree, I completed a Primary PGCE qualification: the skills that I gained from my degree helped me successfully to complete my training and I am now in my second year of teaching. The sills and expertise that I gained whilst studying for my degree have given me the drive and determination to teach a next generation of writers to reach their potential.
