In 2012, Iain Smith graduated from the University of Worcester with a BSc (hons) Business Psychology. During his undergraduate study, Iain won the University of Worcester’s annual Bizcom Award for his involvement in the development of an online based project ‘The 3rd Place’. The project was based on the idea that companies would benefit from hosting The 3rd Place on their staff intranet pages as a solution to the problem of high stress levels at work, where people can obtain information on stress, training and psychometric testing and stress relief outlets.
Iain gave the following statement to describe his experience of studying BSc Business Psychology at University of Worcester;
“I strongly believe that the BSc in Business Psychology at the University in Worcester is the best degree to prepare you for the MSc in Occupational Psychology and a career in Occupational Psychology, as well as a career in business. Theo Paphitis, of Dragons' Den, recently said that, "Business is simple; people make business complicated." This degree teaches you both business and people skills, how people make business complicated, and how the study of Occupational Psychology can make business simple again!”
