Events

The events team coordinate and deliver our Open Days, Applicant Days and Interview Days, and corporate events. The team is split between recruitment focused and corporate focused activities, although team members often work together where needed.

student ambassador talking to prospective student and familyRecruitment events are designed to give prospective students an insight into the benefits of studying at the University of Worcester. Conventionally, the recruitment events programme will include a welcome talk, activities and talks led by academics and current students, support for parents and guardians, campus tours, accommodation viewings and access to relevant facilities. The content of the activities and talks will depend on whether the prospective student has just started viewing universities, has applied for the University of Worcester, or has been invited to interview.

Corporate events organised within the Communications and Participation department are initiated by the University Executive, with a focus on building the University of Worcester’s reputation in one or more areas. Corporate events include basketball pre-match receptions, inaugural professorial lectures, art exhibitions and VIP graduation receptions. Invitations to such events are extended to University Fellows, governors, politicians, businesspersons, and existing and potential investors.
