Teaching & Research

Tim teaches Academic English on the LANG1002 and LANG 1003 modules, and occasionally mans the Language Centre’s Academic English drop-in sessions. He also teaches the LANG1250 Spanish Stage 1 module. Throughout the year he teaches on the Language Centre’s pre-sessional programme, which gives international students the academic skills they will need to be able to study at the university.

His main area of research is in teaching pronunciation, and he is also doing informal research on e-learning, which is becoming more and more prevalent in the education sector.

Presented a paper at InnoConf18 on the topic of portfolio assessment.
