Kevin is a registered adult nurse and has worked in several healthcare institutions both in the UK and internationally. His clinical background was mostly working in acute respiratory care settings. Prior to moving to the UK, he was also a university lecturer in his home country teaching pre- and post-registration nursing students. Alongside his teaching and clinical roles, he is a professional nurse advocate and a cultural ambassador for an integrated care system championing an inclusive culture for the international nursing workforce for which he won an RCN award in 2021. He has a number of external roles in the field of equality, diversity and inclusion and is currently the international lead for the Three Counties School of Nursing and Midwifery supporting international students in their transition, integration and beyond.

Teaching Interests

Kevin is the Deputy Module Lead for NURS2102 (Safe and Effective Care Planning in Adult Nursing). He is an Associate Fellow of Advance HE, currently completing his PGCE in Higher Education at the University of Worcester.

Specific teaching interests include:

  • respiratory care and assessment
  • developing cultural competence in nursing practice

Research Interests

Kevin's research interests are:

  • transcultural nursing
  • international student voice
  • restorative clinical supervision of internationally educated nurses
  • cultural competence of healthcare professionals

He is a member of the Inclusion by Design Research Group at the University of Worcester.
