Carl Frisk is a full-time PhD Research Student in the School of Science and the Environment at the University of Worcester.

Carl’s PhD research focuses around the connection between grass species phenology and atmospheric grass pollen concentrations. This connection is investigated using population dynamics in flowering grass populations, remote sensing, aerobiological sampling and microscopy, meteorological modelling, atmospheric modelling and genomic eDNA approaches.  

Other research interests include Plant Ecology, Fire Ecology and Ecosystem Dynamics.
