Andrew is a full-time student with the School of Sport and Exercise Science.

Andrew’s main research interest is angling and social media, particularly the way that anglers use social media as part of their wider hobby.  His PhD research concerns the angling communities which form online in social media contexts such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or other social networks.

Andrew also serves on the National Angling Advisory Group for the Canal and River Trust; is angling advisor for the Inland Waterways Association Navigation Committee; and is a Trustee of the Severn Rivers Trust.

Andrew’s supervisors are Dr Gyozo Molnar, University of Worcester, Gr Geoff Kohe, University of Kent, and Dr David Harte, Birmingham City University.

Prior to commencing his PhD, Andrew worked as Digital Media Coordinator for the Angling Trust, The UK’s Governing Body for Angling.
