The Arena is one of a number of iconic venues nationally that will Glow Gold for September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

The University of Worcester has been working with Jennifer Kelly, whose daughter Grace died aged just 4 in 2014. Grace's parents set up the Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust in her memory.

Anne Hannaford, Director of Arts and Culture at the University, said: "We heard about Jennifer's aim to get buildings "Glowing Gold" and were delighted to offer to light the Arena and support such an important campaign."

There will be a collection box in the Arena throughout September for Childhood Cancer.

The Glow Gold Campaign was set up by a group of parents of children who have had cancer and aims to raise awareness globally about childhood cancer and ensuring people look for early signs.

Businesses across the UK are being encouraged to decorate or light their premises and hold fundraising events. To find out more about the campaign visit the Facebook page
