Severn Stars Signs Deal with Sportswear Giant

The Severn Stars has signed a four-year footwear and clothing deal that will see players, coaches and support staff wear the latest match day and training kit and elite performance gear from the Japanese sports equipment and sportswear brand.

The netball franchise is a partnership between the University of Worcester and the University of Gloucestershire and will initially play its matches at the University of Worcester Arena.

Pamela Cookey, Director of Netball for the Severn Stars, said: "We are delighted to announce Mizuno will be the Severn Stars" official team sports kit provider for our launch into the Vitality Netball Superleague. Mizuno is a global brand across multiple sports and is already making big footprints into the UK netball landscape. Severn Stars is pleased to welcome them into our team and enhance the partnership."

Mick Donovan, University of Worcester Severn Stars Director and Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor (Inclusive Sport & Educational Development) at the University, said: "We are really pleased to be working with Mizuno and we are confident that their exciting and dynamic clothing brand will match the Severn Stars team that we will be putting on the court."

Head of School for Sport and Exercise at the University of Gloucestershire, Dr Anita Navin, said: "Mizuno has shown a tremendous commitment to support our development and brand as a new Superleague club.

"We look forward to working as a partnership with them to deliver a quality netball experience for the Severn Stars."
