The Images of Science Exhibition will be hosted at The Hive from Friday, February 2 to Sunday, March 18 2018, showcasing 100 of the best scientific images from around the world.

Images have submitted from over 80 countries, curated by a panel of renowned photographers and photographic professionals. The exhibition is the longest standing exhibition of its kind in the world, having been held almost every year since 1854.

Last year there were just over 87,000 visits to The Hive whilst the exhibition was on show. This year's new exhibition hopes to attract even more visitors.

Anne Hannaford, Director of Arts and Culture at the University, which has negotiated the return of the exhibition, as part of its year-long tour, said: "We are thrilled to once again be hosting the RPS exhibition at The Hive." Bringing science and art together through photography sparks curiosity in young people and helps them explore and view Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects with interest and enthusiasm."

Entry to the exhibition in The Hive's Atrium is available free of charge during normal opening hours. More information about the exhibition can be found at https://thehiveworcester.org/art-collections.html.
