Trust Funds
Trust Funds
There are many trust funds and charities that have been set up to support students in Higher Education. Eligibility may depend upon a wide range of criteria, for example, where an applicant is from, where they went to school, their chosen course or career path, whether they have a disability or medical condition, and so on. A significant number of applicants at the University have been successful in their requests for financial support and have been awarded amounts ranging from £200 to £2,000.
The Directory of Social Change publishes The Educational Grants Directory, which lists details of charities and trust funds. Copies are available from the Welfare and Financial Advisers and in the Careers Advisory Service located in Student Services.
The University of Worcester is also affiliated with the Educational Grants Advisory Service (EGAS) which provides information on charitable trusts and alternative funding. Students can obtain more information and access the online Educational Grants Search to see whether they are eligible for extra grants or charitable funding by clicking here.
Lists of contact details for educational trust funds and advice on how to apply can be obtained from the University Welfare and Financial Advisers or by clicking on the help sheets and trust fund details available to the left of this page.
