Nursing and Midwifery
Students taking Degree or Diploma courses in Nursing or Midwifery will have their tuition fees paid by the NHS. Those studying for a Diploma will be eligible for an NHS non-means-tested bursary and those taking a Degree will be eligible for an NHS means-tested bursary. Degree students will also be eligible for a reduced rate non-means-tested maintenance loan through their Student Finance Service (please note that new Diploma courses are no longer offered by the university).

Eligible Nursing and Midwifery students may also apply to the University’s Access to Learning Fund for financial support.
There are a number of Trust Funds that help Healthcare students in financial difficulty and many of our students have received grants in excess of £1,000.
The University’s Welfare and Financial Advisers can provide you with a list of some of the Trust Funds that may help Nursing and Midwifery students.
