Nursery Fees
Child 3 months to 3 years £3.40 per hour
Child over 3 years £3.15 per hour
Lunch £1.95
Flexible hour – premium rate £5.00
10% reduction for youngest sibling
Invoices are sent out monthly. Once a booking has been made, fees are due irrespective of whether your child uses them e.g. illness. The only exception is Bank Holidays, University holidays and staff training days.
Childcare vouchers are accepted and University staff can join the Salary Sacrifice Scheme, whereby fees are deducted from their salary at the end of the month.
Funding
Children are entitled to local authority Nursery funding the term after their 3rd birthday, up to 15 hours per week, term time only.
Help with fees
Parents who are students can apply to:
- Nursery funding from the local authority (see above)
- Help from the University’s Access to Learning Fund
- The Department of Health Childcare Allowance (for health care students only)
- Parents who are working and on low incomes can apply to the Inland Revenue for Working Tax Credit which pays for 70% of registered or approved child care costs
Prices are reviewed on an annual basis.
