Venues
Campus Worcester is small enough to find your way around but large enough to provide everything you need. The campus itself is very accessible, with well signposted buildings and facilities and on site parking, with dedicated spaces for those with special needs.Whether you are looking for a venue for a meeting for 15 or a conference for 200 there are rooms to suit. The capacity of each room varies according to the layout of the room and we would be pleased to advise you on suitability for your event.

We have a range of lecture theatres, seminar rooms, classrooms, meeting rooms and specialist IT suites, as well as a Conference Centre and our multi-purpose Cotswold Suite. We can accommodate groups both small and large and would be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.

Accommodation
A choice of accommodation designed for you
We have a range of accommodation on offer, all located within walking distance of the centre of Worcester. We offer options to suit every budget, from Platinum Plus to Bronze. Platinum Plus offers you newly built spacious en suite rooms set around landscaped courtyards whilst Bronze offers standard rooms, ideal for those on a limited budget.
You have three venues to choose from, St John’s Campus, City Centre Halls and Sansome Hall both in the very heart of Worcester. Most bedrooms are spacious single study bedrooms but we also have a small number of double rooms available.
Platinum Plus accommodation and Fern Hall have received a Quality in Tourism 3* Rating in the self-catering category.

Platinum Plus: (359 rooms)
City Centre halls
St John’s Halls
Setting a new high standard, these Halls (which were brand new in 2009) include 182 en suite rooms at St John’s and 177 en suite at our new City Centre site. All have large, shared kitchen and dining areas, while the study bedrooms are light, airy, spacious and fully furnished in a contemporary style. You’ll find flat-screen TVs in the communal areas and wifi connection throughout. The halls have 6 to 8 rooms per flat.
Platinum: (177 rooms)
St John’s en suite
If your own bathroom is important, this is a great choice. Our 2 St John’s en suite Halls have 6 flats over 3 floors, each made up of 6 or 7 study bedrooms. Each room has an en suite bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilets.
Platinum - City (Sansome Hall)
Located in the centre of Worcester, close to all the city’s attractions and with Foregate Street station nearby, this spacious en suite accommodation is arranged into 10 flats over 5 floors. Each flat has a large, shared, fully fitted kitchen and dining area - this is a great choice if you want to be in the heart of the city.
Gold (252 rooms)
St John’s standard
Popular with summer schools, each of the St John’s standard Halls has 4 or 6 flats over 2 or 3 floors with 6 study bedrooms. There are 2 toilet/shower rooms per flat and each bedroom has a washbasin.

St John’s Fern Hall
This exclusive development consists of three five-bedroom houses and one three-bedroom house with off-road parking. The houses have one en suite bedroom per property, a bathroom and separate toilet and shower and a fully fitted kitchen/dining room. All single study bedrooms have high-speed internet connections. Fern Hall adjoins St John’s campus, which means that guests can take advantage of all of the facilities on campus whilst enjoying a degree of exclusivity. Fern Hall is an ideal choice for small groups and families, as each of the houses is let separately as a whole unit.
Silver (197 rooms)
St John’s, Avon & Ledbury
Avon and Ledbury have 34 flats over 3 floors, each with 4 or 6 study bedrooms. Each flat has a shared kitchen and lounge area. There’s a bathroom, shower room with toilet and another separate toilet in each flat. Situated adjacent to each other, these Halls are the ideal choice for groups on a budget.
Bronze (60 rooms)
St John’s Chandler
Chandler has 60 single study bedrooms over 3 floors. 6 of the rooms share a study area. All rooms have a washbasin and groups of 8-10 share a large kitchen, 2 bathrooms and toilet facilities. Communal space is limited but you’ll love the large common room – great for groups. A brilliant option if you want to keep costs down.
We are able to provide large conferences with exclusive use of these venues at our excellent 24 hour residential rates by arrangement. If we have more than one group on campus we try to accommodate groups separately or to accommodate groups of a similar nature together. Please discuss this with us when making your reservation.

Catering
We are able to offer a range of catering for those attending residential conferences or for individuals and groups staying in our accommodation. The accommodation can be arranged either on a full or half board basis, with meals taken in the Dining Hall or the Conference Centre, Bed & Breakfast or self-catering basis.For day conferences, meetings, events and parties we offer a range of high quality menus, two or three courses, with a choice of starters, main courses and desserts. We provide healthy options, salads, soups and vegetarian dishes each day and in addition our chefs are happy to work with conference and event/party organisers to ensure that any special dietary needs are fully catered for.
We have recently launched a new collection of menus that feature the finest local produce and serve a range of Fairtrade teas and coffees, biscuits, cakes, sandwiches, buffets and working lunches.
Our day delegate rates include morning coffee, afternoon tea and a buffet lunch served either in/or adjacent to meeting and exhibition areas and this is a very popular option. Our 24 hour delegate rate includes room and full board.
The right refreshments and their unobtrusive service can really contribute to the success of your meeting or event. We offer you a range of freshly prepared hot and cold food and drinks from a selection of menus. Our freshly-brewed coffee and tea, chilled juices and mineral water, homemade cakes, mini-pastries and biscuits, drinks, snacks, lunches, evening meals and buffets are designed to be easy to order and as flexible as your event or stay. Just let us know if you or your guests have any specific requirements or if you would like something not on the menu.

Rates
We offer a range of flexible, fully inclusive conference packages from which to choose. Our delegate rates are excellent value for money and we are happy to work with you to create tailored packages that meet your specific needs.We also offer a variety of rates for room hire and aim to provide excellent value for money. Rooms are available for hire on a day, half day or evening basis or as an inclusive package with catering.

Chess Megafinal 2010
The University of Worcester is proud to once again host the Junior Regional Chess Megafinal, on Sunday 18 April 2010.The British Land UK Chess Challenge started in 1996 and over 70,000 school children throughout the UK compete at school level. The best players in each age group qualify for a Megafinal from which winners qualify for a national Gigafinal (see http://www.ukchesschallenge.com/ for further details).
The University of Worcester has hosted the Worcestershire Megafinal every year since 2003. This year the organisers expect 250 guests and competitors to attend the Worcestershire Megafinal.
For this competition Worcestershire includes south Birmingham and Dudley because the boundaries are those of the historical county. Competitors range in age from 5 to 18 years old and come from schools in Birmingham, Halesowen, Redditch, Malvern, as well as those in and around Worcester.
Organiser Ray Collett said: "The venue is excellent for the competition with its large playing hall, good catering facilities, and excellent support from University staff."
