Registration

Why do I need to register?

You are required to register at the start of each academic year that you are studying on your course. This confirms that you are attending and how your course is going to be paid for. You must register before you can receive any financial assistance (i.e. student loan or bursary). The registration process also allows you to check that the information we hold on your record is correct. The University is required to return Statutory reports based on the information you provide.

I have already selected my modules, do I still need to register?

Yes, the process for selecting modules for the upcoming session is completely different from registration.

I am a part time student, do I need to register every semester?

No, from September 2006 part time students will only be required to register once a year.

When is the deadline for registration?

You should register for your course by Friday 2nd October 2020. A late registration fee may be charged if you do not register by this date

Will I be able to register in person?

All registration will be online, however if you are experiencing difficulties, please come to the firstpoint desk in Peirson during opening hours where a member of staff will guide you through the procedure.

Does my browser need any special settings for me to register online?

Yes, in order to register online you should ensure that your browser has Javascript enabled and pop-ups enabled. You will find this information in the Options/Settings menu of the browser of your choice. See your browser Help option for more details.

How do I know if I have successfully registered?

When you have completed every section you will be presented with a Certificate of Registration which you can print as proof from your SOLE page.  You will also receive an email confirmation which is sent to your University email account.

Is the SOLE page secure?

Yes. All personal information is stored using 128 bit encryption. We utilise the industry-standard Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all the personal information.

What cards do you accept for payment?

We accept the following method of payments: Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo

What is the security code on my payment card?

We ask for the security number from your payment card to prevent the fraudulent use of your account. This is printed on your card but isn't in the magnetic strip or embossed so only the person who has the card knows the number.

On most UK cards the security code is the last three digits of the number printed on the signature strip.

If you can't read your security code please contact your bank and they will happily issue you with a new card.

I have taken out a tuition fee loan but this is not deducted from my course fees?

This may be because the University is yet to receive confirmation from the Student Loans Company that you are taking out a tuition fee loan. In these circumstances please select the 'Awaiting Financial Assessment' option. If this option is not available to you this may be due to a problem with our records and you should call us on 01905 855333.

Do I need to register if I am studying at a Partner Organisation?

Yes. If you are studying a course at one of the University of Worcester's partner organisations, you still need to register with us even though you may have to register with the partner as well. This is because the University of Worcester is the awarding body for your course.
