We do not give legal advice but we can help you to identify major elements of your welfare or financial difficulties and provide information, advice and help to resolve them.

We will ...

  • Listen to you
  • Explain the options available to you
  • Help you identify further action to take
  • Help you fill in forms and draft letters if necessary
  • Contact other organisations for further information if relevant
  • Liaise with others on your behalf, e.g. Student Finance England, banks and landlords

You can also find leaflets on a variety of subjects on our Money Advice bookshelf which is situated next to the firstpoint desk in the Peirson Centre.

Look out for us at Open Days, Freshers Events and at our Money Advice Promotions held several times a year.

Access to Learning Fund (Hardship Fund)

In addition, we administer the Access to Learning Fund, which is available to students experiencing severe financial hardship. The fund is non-repayable and may be applied for at any time during the academic year and even during the long holiday months for some students.

See the Access to Learning Fund page on this website for more information.
