Young People Services FdA

Young People Services FdA

This course will give you confidence in your own skills and knowledge of young people services, and develop your ability to adapt within a constantly changing professional environment.

Current policy is addressed to ensure you are prepared for changing demands in practice.

Developed in consultation with local employers, the course provides a broad context for the study of Young People Services while developing a distinct professional discipline consistent with Occupational Standards for Youth Work. It will be of interest to students preparing to enter a career working with young people, or existing practitioners who wish to achieve a Higher Education qualification whilst working towards a national youth work qualification.

On successful completion of this course you will be eligible to apply for direct entry to the third year of a relevant Honours degree. It can also provide a route to a validated national youth work qualification through progression via a Top-up programme to a third-year Honours degree in Youth & Community Services.
