English Language Requirements
All international students are normally required to provide evidence of their ability in the English Language, usually in the form of an IELTS or TOEFL test score.
If you have an English language qualification that is not listed below but which you believe to be equivalent, please contact the International Centre.
IELTS Scores Required
- Students wishing to obtain direct entry to a BA, BSc, FdA, FdSc or HND must have an IELTS score of 6.0.
- Students applying for either a MA or MSc must have an IELTS score of 6.5.
- Students applying for the International Foundation Diploma must have IELTS scores of 4.5 for the full-year programme or 5.0 for the one-semester fast track programme.
- Students applying for the International Pre-Masters Diploma must have an IELTS score of 5.0 for the full-year programme or 5.5 for the one-semester fast track programme.
- Students applying for the Pre-Sessional Course should have an IELTS score of 5.5 for undergraduate entry and 6.0 for postgraduate entry for the 6-week programme, and an IELTS score of 5.0 for undergraduate entry and 5.5 for postgraduate entry for the 12-week programme.
