Finding Journal Articles

Journals are an excellent source of up-to-date research and information on specialised topics.

Peer-reviewed/scholarly journals contain articles that have been checked by experts in the subject. Other journals/magazines may also contain good quality articles.

Most of the journals at UW are now available electronically and can be accessed from on and off campus. However, there are still many print journals available in the Peirson building.

To find out if UW subscribes to a particular journal, check the A-Z List (accessed from Resources Online). This will tell you whether we have an electronic or a print version.

To find a journal article on a particular topic, you will need to search an electronic database. From Resources Online, click on E-Resources.
