Restricted Loan

The Restricted Loan Collection is held in an enclosed area next to the support desk.  It contains a collection of heavily used, key texts and other materials.  These include:

  • Course key texts
  • Personal Copies
  • Photocopied Articles

A maximum of three items from the Restricted Loan Collection can be borrowed at any one time.
Restricted Loan items are fined at a rate of 50p an hour when returned late.  This is why it is essential to return Restricted Loan material promptly.

Issue Periods

Restricted Loans are issued on a rolling five hour period - with the return time being shown on the checkout receipt.

  • Items issued less than five hours before closing will roll over to 9:15am the following day.
  • Items issued after 4:00pm on Saturday will roll over to 9:15am Monday morning.
