Restricted Loan

The aim of Restricted Loan is to make key texts (that may be limited in number) available to the maximum number of students.  The short loan period for these texts ensures that students are provided with a means of access to the core reading for their modules.

The Restricted Loan Collection is held in an enclosed area next to the Issue Desk and contains heavily used key texts and other materials, including:

  • Course texts
  • Personal copies
  • Photocopied chapters /articles from books/journals

NB It is important that the Collection is kept up-to-date and relevant to modules running in the current academic year – your input and feedback are vital to enable us to do this.

To request that books be placed in Restricted Loan please use the Restricted Loan request forms which are available:

  • From the Library Issue Desk in Peirson
  • Via the internal post (contact Diana or Tina)
  • Downloadable from the Document Tab
