Reading Lists

Module reading lists are available here.

ILS works alongside teaching staff in each of the University’s Institutes to present module reading lists online. These lists are created by module leaders and aim to represent the texts which students are expected to read for each module as well as a selection of wider reading. This wider reading should be treated as a starting point only, and ILS staff can help you to find more resources for your research.

Reading Lists are available publicly, so potential students can choose to prepare themselves by doing some reading prior to the start of their course (note: anyone not yet registered with the University can use the library on a reference only basis or join for a small fee).

Benefits of Online Reading Lists

  • Each book entry on the list is a link to the library catalogue, so students can instantly check availability.
  • E-Book and journal article entries can point students directly to the text.
  • Online reading lists are available anywhere, any time.
  • Lists can be searched by module title, code or lecturer name.
  • Entries are checked by ILS staff to ensure the library holds copies.

For Academic Staff
If your lists aren’t already here, please contact your Academic Liaison Librarian. ILS can help you get them online and link them to Blackboard for the highest visibility to your students.
