Issuing, returning and renewing Library items
Issuing, returning and renewing Library items
All library items are borrowed using the Self-Issue machines in the foyer of the Peirson building – you will just need to ensure you have your University ID card with you in order to use them. All library items, including Restricted Loan and non-book items, are returned at the Self-Returns machine next to the Information Point. Please always check to ensure that all your items have been correctly issued or returned.
You can access your library account on the machines to renew items already on loan and pay any small outstanding fines (coins only). Current University members can also pay fines at the Top Up Points in Peirson building and elsewhere on the University campus.
For current students the best way to access your student library account and renew your loaned items is by logging onto your library account via the Student Application Portal (http://students.worc.ac.uk/). Once you are logged in, select ‘Library Catalogue’ and you will automatically be directed to your account details, including your current loaned items. Select each item you wish to renew or just select ‘Renew all’.
Anyone else wishing to renew books online (e.g. Staff, Alumni, associate members, SCONUL and other reciprocal borrowers) should go to the My account tab on the Library Catalogue and logon with their Borrower No. & Pin
Please be aware that there is a fine limit set into the Self Service machines which will block you from issuing and renewing if you accumulate fines. If you have a problem please speak with staff at the Information Point. You will not be blocked from renewing loans online if you have a fine.
Nb! Any messages about your library account (for example, messages about overdue books) will go to your University e-mail account. Please check your University e-mail account regularly to ensure you don’t miss any important messages.
