Money advice

Emotional issues

  • Emotional problem/difficult feelings: There are a number of people and services that may be able to help you. You can speak to a firstpoint Adviser in one of the confidential consulting rooms in firstpoint. To make an appointment you can phone 01905 542551, email firstpoint@worc.ac.uk or call in. 
  • The Counselling Service offer a free and confidential service to all students. To refer yourself to the service either complete a form at firstpoint or contact the Counselling Service by email:   counselling@worc.ac.uk or telephone 01905 855417 or 01905 855105.
  • If you have a pre-diagnosed mental health problem you can contact the Mental Health Advisers via email mentalhealth@worc.ac.uk  or telephone 01905 855447  
  • Student Support and Well-being Team, Student Support Advisers are able to support students with issues relating to bullying and harassment, self-harm, and issues related to living in university shared accommodation. Email studentlife@worc.ac.uk or telephone 07811 458754 or make an appointment with a Student Support Adviser at Firstpoint in the Peirson Centre.

Bullying and harassment

  • If you think you are being bullied or are experiencing any form of harassment, such as unwanted attention, you can contact one of the University's Initial Harassment Advsiors for advice and support. The Advisors are members of staff who have volunteered for the role. They have a a wide range of different skills, backgrounds and experiences. All have received training in bullying and harassment. How your experiences are dealt with will be up to you. You might choose to speak to an Advisor in person, via email or phone. You might just want someone to listen to your experiences or you might choose to take the issue further. The role of the Advisor is to listen, discuss and explain your options and support you with whatever action you might choose or not choose to take.
