Subject Specific Modules

Subject Specific Modules

Unless you can claim Accreditation for Prior Learning, you are required to undertake a subject-specific research methods module as part of your research degree programme.

In most instances, this will be one of the University's Masters' modules.  You can find a list of these modules with details of when they are running in the Masters Module Directory at http://everest.worc.ac.uk/cgi-bin/ums/masterdirect08.pl.

You will need to discuss with your Director of Studies which of these modules is appropriate for you.

Where there is not a relevant Masters module running at Worcester, it is normally possible to find an appropriate module at another institution.  For example, in recent years students in archaeology and in geography have undertaken modules at the University of Birmingham.  In this instance, you will need to discuss possibilities with your Director of Studies.
