Pebblepad Development
Pebblepad Development
Following consultation with the ELDG, PebblePad has now been adopted as the University's e-portfolio system. The project to implement PebblePad was led by Libby Symonds and Rowland Gallop together with the e-learning team in three phases, finally being rolled out to all students in 2009. Following a successful implementation and trial, Pebblepad is now a fully supported production system in use with many different departments, and now forms part of formal assessments for some modules.
The LTTU can provide support and ongoing help to staff who wish to implement Pebblepad as part of their courses. We can advise on how best to use this resource, provide help in setting up course areas as well as inform potential users on how to successfully integrate the e-portfolio within a module to maximise potential benefits to students.
We are also able to provide guidance and information to members of staff who wish to include an e-portfolio for their students as part of the assessment procedure, and help to integrate e-learning pedagogy into areas which previously may have been paper based. Refining and streamlining workflows for teachers as part of their course development in this way can provide many benefits, and enable new ways to communicate and interact with students encouraging greater reflection and developmental learning.
For a list of Pebblepad training courses, please see the Workshop Timetable section of this site for times, dates and how to register. If you are unable to attend these, or you require e-portfolio training in a specific area, we can arrange supplementary sessions as required.
