Many sites now offer hosting facilities for user created multimedia content. Users can upload video clips, audio files, pictures, slide shows and documents to various hosted services which other users can then browse and search.

These sites offer a showcase for individual's creative work which may not have been publicised by any other media and also offers users a searchable gallery of a wide range of resources. This provides an easy way for students to create and present work which can also be used within a learning environment.
