Blackboard

Blackboard

Blackboard is the University of Worcester's primary Virtual Learning Environment. This provides a variety of tools which you can use to deliver learning materials, communicate with students and deliver and grade assessments and assignments.

It is organised on a modular basis, linked to the student records system so all students have access to the modules they are taking if the tutor has arranged for a Blackboard area to be set up.

If you are a module leader and would like a Blackboard area set up please contact the Learning and Teaching Technology Unit who can set this up for you. Once a module has been set up in Blackboard, course content will be copied over to subsequent instances of the module each semester so you don't have to re-create your learning materials each time a module runs. It is worth checking before each new cohort arrives that the materials on your Blackboard area are up to date.

The following links and PDF guides are available to help you use the various features in Blackboard, and troubleshoot common user problems. Further information and documentation on training offered for Blackboard can be found here.
