Content Creation

Pedagogically sound course materials can be produced in many different ways, and with many different tools. The LTTU is committed to supporting users to create this content, and can offer help and training to users who are interested in developing new skills.

We can offer help and training to produce professional PowerPoint slides for lectures, with interactive elements such as quizzes and video.

We also provide assess to screen capture software for use with on screen demonstrations, incorporating additional text and voice instruction if necessary.

The team can also offer help and guidance in producing audio content via the Audacity program, which can be imported into slideshows or turned into podcasts and downloaded by students at a convenient time.

It is also now possible to combine many of these different elements, and create modules with full virtual classrooms through the Wimba suite of software for use within Blackboard. This makes many interactive elements available for use within courses, and encourages interaction, participation and offers improved understanding of course material.
