The Placements Office is here to support employers and students in all aspects of the placement process
As an employer, you can discuss the possibility of recruiting a placement student, advertise placement vacancies, receive CVs from suitable students and get support throughout the placement year from our Placement Office.
If you want to recruit a placement student give our Placements Office a ring. We will be happy to tell you more and discuss your requirements.
Once you have decided that you are able to take a placement student , you should send the Placements Office a job description.
This should include information regarding your company, department/area of work, main duties and responsibilities, number of positions available, application process and salary. This will be advertised to our students through our website.
We can then send you the details of suitable students or instruct students how to apply directly. Placement students can be recruited at any time prior to the placement period. Generally, placements start between June and September and last for a minimum of 36 weeks and a maximum of 48 weeks.
Many organisations choose to recruit placement students before Christmas, to ensure a greater choice of students. We can also advertise part-time and vacation placements to students.
