Budding young netball players in Worcester will get the chance to hone their skills at a camp hosted by the University of Worcester and Worcester Netball Club during the school holidays.
The three-day camp, aimed at 10 to 16 year-olds, will allow youngsters to develop all aspects of their game under the supervision of qualified coaches from both the University and the Club in the impressive surroundings of the University Arena.
The University of Worcester’s netball programme has gone from strength to strength in recent years; both the first and second student teams went through the whole of last season unbeaten, the University Arena has hosted high profile international and domestic games; and close links have been forged with Worcester Netball Club.
Sheli Morgan, Director of Netball at the University, explains: “We are extremely proud of our netball programme here at the University and we are delighted that, along with Worcester Netball Club, we are able to welcome school children to the University Arena during the summer holidays.
The camp will allow all netballers - no matter what their levels of ability or experience - the opportunity to learn new skills, develop their game play and make new friends. We are looking forward to making it a fun and beneficial three days for all.”
The camp will take place between Monday August 11 and Wednesday August 13, running between 9am and 3pm and costing £30 per day, or £75 to attend the full three days.
The deadline for applications is July 25. For more information or for an application form, contact the University Arena Reception on 01905 854444 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
