IET Faraday Challenge Days
Giving students the opportunity to research, design and make prototype solutions to genuinely tough engineering problems. The winners of each event win prizes for themselves ad a trophy for their school. The top three teams from across the UK get an all-expenses paid trip to the National Final in June each year to compete for a cash prize of up to £1000 for their school. Jaguar Cars Maths in Motion Challenge for Schools
Race a virtual Grand Prix car here. Students, working in small teams, complete a series for STEM relevant tasks in an effort to produce the perfect car. this 'virtual' car is then entered into a competitive race in the hope of winning it. The Challenge also involves students racing against teams from other schools and countries. Full details can be found on the website.

Chemistry Grant for Schools
The Royal Society of Chemistry is offering grants of up to £75 for schools to carry any of their Global Experiment.

School Grant Scheme (Physics / Engineering)
The Science and Technology Facilities Council (formerly PPARC and CCLRC), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institute of Physics run a small grants scheme designed specifically for schools and colleges.
The scheme provides schools with grants of up to £600 for projects or events linked to the teaching or promotion of physics or engineering. Eligibility and timing: The scheme is open to all UK educational institutions (schools and colleges) catering for pupils/students in the age range 5-19.
