Hilary is full-time PhD student in the Institute of Health and Society at the University of Worcester.

Hilary’s main research interest is adult mental health. Her PhD research concerns postvention needs in UK Higher Education Institutions following a student suicide. She is conducting a mixed methods study into the experiences, needs and perceptions of staff members who are impacted by a student suicide.

Alongside her PhD Hilary is involved in the creation and evaluation of a student peer support service within the Institute of Health and Society.

Her supervisors are Professor Eleanor Bradley, Dr Kate Muse and Professor Jo Smith.

Prior to commencing her PhD, Hilary worked in both the third sector and the public sector in child protection and adolescent and young adult mental health. Her passion is the promotion of user participation and inclusion of user voices in the evaluation, design and delivery of services.
