A University of Worcester Computing student has secured a 12-month placement with local business solutions firm, Clearview.
The Worcester-based company supply business and people performance management software and service solutions, and have appointed mature student Nick Williams as Implementation and Support Assistant.
The 27 year-old will be combining his business knowledge and IT skills to provide training and consultancy services for Clearview’s range of business and management products, and Mark Hobart, the company’s Managing Director, believes he is perfectly suited to the role.
“Nick is an outstanding talent and we’re excited to have him on board,” Mr Hobart explains. “His natural flair for simply presenting complex information is exactly what our customers are asking us for.”
Nick, who will return to the University for the third year of his degree next September, adds: “Clearview has presented me with a fantastic opportunity to expand my knowledge in the area of Business Intelligence and reporting. I am extremely excited to have been given this opportunity and look forward to working with such a great local company.
“The University of Worcester has provided a massive amount of support, from being involved in the ‘Media Lab’ (a student-led design and development lab), to being involved in various Students as Academic Partner projects.
“The support from the university has been first-class.”
He continues: “From the beginning of the placement, Clearview has provided industry-leading training to me in their exceptional Business Intelligence and reporting software.
“I am looking forward to the next twelve months and hopefully a promising career working with a company where people matter and delivering a single version of the truth to the customer through the software is key.”
