Karen joined the Institute of Education at the University of Worcester in 2014, as a Senior Lecturer in Education. Her interests lie in primary initial teacher education and as a member of the Primary Partnership Team Karen is responsible for Partnership Development. This role includes supporting trainee teachers, class teachers/mentors and the School Experience Tutors from the university who support trainees whilst on school practice.
Karen teachers Religious Education on the Undergraduate Primary Education BA course and the Primary PGCE course. Religion Education is a key focus of Karenís current research interests, she also offers Religious Education CPD opportunities to schools. Karen also teachers as part of the Primary Mathematics team here at the university.
Karen is an experienced primary school teacher. Prior to her role at the University of Worcester, Karen taught for 14 years in Northamptonshire and Worcestershire being responsible for the coordination of science and RE.
