If arriving by train and you have the time, the walk from Worcester Foregate Street station to the St John's Campus takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
To help find your way you can download a directional map, or use our online Google Map. You can also access a description of the easiest walking route from the station to the University's Severn Gate entrance in Henwick Road.

There are 423 locations throughout the St John’s campus where you can secure your bike. The vast majority are Sheffield-type hoops and many are located under cover.
There are Sheffield-type hoop cycle parking facilities at all the other university sites: Samsome Hall, Riverside, The Garage, Battenhall playing fields.

Showers and lockers are available at St John’s campus, City campus and Riverside. Use the cycle route journey planner to help work out your route.
Worcester Bus Station is situated in the Crowngate Shopping Centre in the City Centre.

Bus services run through the University campus. Staff are eligible for the following:
- £2.50 per day gives you unlimited bus travel all day on all First bus services operating in Worcester City
- £5.00 per week gives you unlimited bus travel all week on service 31,31B –UNI Shuttle bus service only
- £8.00 per week gives you unlimited bus travel all week on all First bus services operating in Worcester City
- £75.00 will give you unlimited bus travel during Semester 1 or Semester 2 on all First bus services operating in Worcester City
To take advantage of these offers you need to take 2 passport size photographs to the Finance Cashiers office in the Edward Elgar Building.

Worcester is served by two train stations:
Worcester Foregate Street - is situated in the city centre and is a 25-30 minute walk from the University or five minutes by taxi.
Worcester Shrub Hill - is a 40-45 minute walk from the University or 10 minutes by taxi.

Birmingham International Airport is only 45 minutes away from the University of Worcester. Visitors travelling via London Heathrow can use the high speed rail-air link to Worcester via London Paddington or Reading.

- London Heathrow to Worcester - 2 hours 11 minutes - 107 miles
- Manchester Airport to Worcester - 1 hour 55 mins - 110 miles
Car Parking Charges:
Charges in the long stay car park will be £2.30 per day (£1 for evenings after 5pm and £1 per day at weekends);
Charges in the short stay car parks will be 90p per hour (7am to 5pm) £1 for evenings after 5pm and £1 per day at weekends;
Charges in car park A, the super short stay car park will be 60p per 30 minutes parking (9am – 5pm), weekends and evenings £1.

Student Permits
Residential students who have a compulsory placement as part of their course, and any student in possession of an Orange/Blue Parking Permit may apply for a Campus Car Parking Permit.
Residential Guests
A residential guest can purchase a 24 hour permit, and park their car close to the Halls of Residence.
Disabled Parking
A car displaying a Registered Disabled badge will not be charged a car park charge.

Car Share Scheme
The University of Worcester has teamed up with liftshare, the UK’s largest car-share provider, to give Worcester students and staff their very own car-share scheme.
Car-sharing is good for the environment, helps reduce traffic congestion, and saves money! The scheme is free to join, completely secure, and available to all students and staff with a University of Worcester email address.
