Tim began the development of his sales and marketing expertise as the Director of a Direct Marketing agency where he worked for over a decade. He then moved into academia after completing his Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory Education) delivering programmes for Birmingham City University for Undergraduate, Post Graduate, and for professional participants. Tim then then joined Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford in 2009 to work in Executive Education.
Tim is active in management practice and has completed numerous assignments across a wide range of organisations in both the Private and Public sector including The University of Oxford, Henley Business School, Birmingham City University, The Open University, Hitachi Capital, The Advertising Standards Authority, BP, The Community Housing Group, Sitel, Thomas Cook, Deloitte, PA Consulting, Toyota, Mercedes, The Financial Conduct Authority, and Bank of China. His External appointments for the Chartered institute of Marketing have included Senior Examiner for the Direct Marketing and Sales Promotion module, Module Course Director for the Customer Experience module (as part of the CIM’s Global Delivery Framework), Level Authority for level 4 qualifications, and most recently as Senior Examiner for the Post Graduate Managing Business Growth module.
Since 2011 Tim has worked at Worcester Business School where he teaches Marketing Communications, Marketing Strategy, and Sales Management. His previous management roles within the School before returning to a purely teaching role have included the Director of Post Graduate Studies, the Director of Corporate Programmes, and Head of the Marketing and Enterprise Subject Group.
Tim is a multi-award winning case writer and has authored a winning cases in the EFMD’s Excellence in Practice Awards. Tim is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (and a Chartered Marketer), and a Fellow of the Higher Education Association Academy.
