We aim to provide a range of exciting opportunities for those involved in Initial Teacher Education, Education and Childhood Studies and Continuing Professional Development on an ongoing basis.
Excellent Reputation
We have an excellent reputation in the field of education and have access to a number of prestigious specialist research centres, amongst them the Children's Literature, Literacy & Creativity International Research Centre.
Partnerships
We work in close partnership with many schools across the region, ensuring best practice and building links for teaching placements and future employment. Our partner schools include a range of settings from rural to inner city. Professional Mentors support students throughout their school placements, giving them the benefit of their experience and expertise. See our Partnerships pages for more information.
We also work in partnership with Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire Children's Services.
Professional Development Courses
The Institute of Education offers a range of relevant, flexible, modular and award-bearing courses for those who wish to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding in the field of education. Ranging from foundation degree to professional doctorate, our courses are designed for professionals involved in education, as well as for others who have an interest in the theory and practice of education. New for 2010

Masters in Teaching & Learning (MTL)

Innovative and Creative Practices
