Head of Division: Drama, Performance and Film
David worked for 10 years as an actor, writer and artistic director with credits in touring and repertory theatre, educational theatre and TIE, television and radio. He later worked at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and De Montfort University before joining Worcester where he is currently Head of Drama, Performance and Film. In addition to teaching Drama and Film and heading up the area, David is also director of Magic Attic Theatre, which he established in 2004 with the aim of producing new work for the annual Children’s Storytelling Festival here at Worcester and making contributions to the Research Centre for Children’s Literature, Literacy and Creativity. He is currently researching into ideology, aesthetics and the impact of live performance on children and young people.
