As an education professional you recognise the importance of professional development throughout your career. Increasingly career progression is dependent upon obtaining higher qualifications and continuing professional development provides a valuable opportunity to reflect on classroom management and practice and share your ideas with colleagues. Many courses are part-time and work based and promote action research and reflective practice. The University of Worcester works in conjunction with Local Authorities in Worcestershire and Herefordshire. The Institute of Education works closely with partner Local Authorities in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire.

Flexible Learning

You can select individual modules to improve your professional practice or work towards an award bearing qualification. All of our programmes take into account the busy lives of professionals with times and learning modes designed to fit around individual needs.

If you are currently working in Further Education there are opportunities to top up existing qualifications to degree level and beyond.
