Open Days

Who are they for: anyone interested in finding out more about the University of Worcester

Our Open Days are designed to provide you with all the information you need to discover what Worcester has to offer – they are our busiest and most comprehensive events. There are presentations, displays and tours. Typical talks include: Accommodation, Finance, Student Life and a Vice Chancellor’s Welcome. The Subject Fair is your opportunity to meet lecturers from every course, so you can ask the questions that are important to you and find out detailed information. But, most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and talk to current students and get a real sense of university life.

Open Days take place on our St John's campus and are generally held in June and September.

Open Afternoons

Who are they for: anyone interested in finding out more about the University of Worcester; they are particularly aimed at people who are unable to attend the two main Open Days

Open Afternoons offer many of the same features as an Open Day, including a Subject Fair, campus tours and talks on accommodation. They don’t have the same range of subject talks as an Open Day, but they are an excellent alternative if you aren’t able to attend our Open Days in September or June. They take place on our St John's campus and we often hold them during school half-term holidays, making them perfect for students who are travelling from further away.

Open Evenings

Who are they for: for anyone interested in finding out more about the University of Worcester; they are particularly aimed at people who might want to start a course immediately (in September or January)

You’ll find a Subject Fair and will be able to speak to staff from our registry, student services, finance and accommodation teams. Open Evenings do not feature talks and presentations, but you can take a short campus tour and meet current students. Open Evenings are held on our St John's campus in early September and early January, coinciding with the start of term. As it’s often possible to start a course immediately, our registry team will be available to advise on everything from entry requirements to timetables.

Booking a place

We recommend that you use the online form to book your place at an Open Event. If you prefer, you can also ring us on 01905 855 141 or email  study@worc.ac.uk
It’s not compulsory to register in advance, but we recommend it. Once we know that you are attending an event, we can send you a programme, email updates and further information.

Campus Tours

Who are they for: anyone who is unable to attend an Open Event, or has special requirements for their tour

If you are not able to attend an Open Event, you can still visit us!  We offer personalised campus tours on weekdays. You'll need to book in advance, but we'll do our best to find a time and a date that suits you and will try to plan a tour that covers everything that you need to see. For further information, please contact us on 01905 855 141 or email study@worc.ac.uk

Visit Days

Who are they for: applicants who have been offered a place on a course

The University of Worcester holds Visit Days at our St John's campus between January and March for most undergraduate courses (some programmes, such as Nursing, have their own events). Once you’ve received an offer, you’ll receive an invitation to attend a Visit Day, normally with a choice of dates.

Visit Days are designed to assist you in making your decision about Firm and Insurance offers. Visit Days offer subject specific workshops, giving you the chance to experience the course first hand, meet lecturers and say hello to other students that you might be studying with – a great way to get a head start on making some friends and getting a feel for the campus.
