Swedish Double Degree

These courses involve an innovative degree scheme linking Worcester Business School at the University of Worcester with the School of Business and Engineering at Högskolan Halmstad, Sweden.

Two types of linked courses are available – the Double Degree and the Reverse Double Degree.

Double Degree (3 years Worcester, 1 year Halmstad)

The exciting and successful Double Degree has been pioneered in the area of Business Management. Participants in the programme become students at the University of Worcester, spending three years in the UK and one year at Högskolan Halmstad, Sweden.
During the three years at Worcester you can also choose to take part in our international exchange programme, spending a semester (usually January to May of your second year) in another country in the United States, Europe or Australia.

This exciting venture over four years leads to two degrees (upon successful completion of all requirements):

• A British BA Honours Degree in Business Management or any one of over 30 specialist Business degrees combining two specialist areas from Accountancy, Advertising, Economics, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Innovation, Management, Marketing and Public Relations
• A Swedish Master of Science Degree in Business and Economics with a major in Business Administration (Ekonomie magisterexamen med huvudområdet Business Administration).  This award offers opportunities to specialise in International Marketing; in Innovation; or in Entrepreneurship

On successful completion of both degrees, you will also be entitled to progress further onto the MPhil course at Halmstad in Strategic Innovation Management, if you wish.

Reverse Double Degree (2 years Halmstad, 1 year Worcester)

Alternatively, you can choose the Reverse Double Degree in Business Management, where you will study for two years at Högskolan Halmstad followed by a third final year at the University of Worcester.  During this final year, you will also complete an online dissertation through distance learning with Högskolan Halmstad. This intensely demanding programme over three years leads to two degrees upon successful completion of all requirements:

• A British BA Honours degree in International Business
• A Swedish Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics with a major in Business Administration (Ekonomie kandidatexamen med huvudområdet företagsekonomi).  This award offers opportunities to specialise in Economics or Marketing
