St. Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping over 4000 young people per year across the West Midlands region.
Supporting young people
You will be based within one of our projects and work closely with your buddy to deliver first-class support to young people as the need arises. You will gain valuable on-the-job experience by working closely with an established support-team and learn what it means to work within a Psychologically Informed Environment.
Student-led initiatives are a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and passion for a particular area and help you to reflect your commitment to prospective employers. Your time will be invested in developing and delivering sessions (e.g. Sport Science, Photography, Budgeting, and Cooking sessions/course) to the young people we work with to equip them with skills that will help them to learn and grow.
Applications for placement are considered on a case-by-case basis to ensure that you are provided with a meaningful placement that supports your goals and also adds value to and fills a need in our services. If you have not heard from us within two weeks of submitting your application, please on this occasion assume that you have not been successful.
