After achieving a First Class degree and beginning his career as a teacher, Alex Powell has had to manage his time effectively.
However, with what free time he has had, he has been able to put to good use as a volunteer Special Constable for West Mercia Police.
Alex, who graduated from Physical Geography, begun his teacher training in September, and has also been able to maintain his work with the police force.
“I think they complement each other well,” Alex says of combining policing with teaching. “I am currently training to be a Geography teacher, but I also have aspirations to join the police full-time as well.
Of his time at university, Alex explains: “I was very pleased about achieving a First, as when I decided to attend university I knew I wanted to get the most out of my degree. I have always been ambitious and determined to do the very best possible.”
“I did enjoy my time at Worcester very much, the University and the Geography staff in particular were all very supportive of my studies and were always available if I needed assistance.
“I don’t think I would have received a better education anywhere else.”
