University Cheerleading Squad Hoping for National Success

A cheerleading squad from the University of Worcester will be battling it out against teams from across the country at a national competition on Friday, April 10.


CheerleadersThe Worcester Sinners will travel to Telford to take part in the British Cheerleading Association’s University Competition.

The squad is made up of 20 girls from a range of different courses at the University of Worcester.

Lucy Joynson, chair of the Worcester Sinners, said: “We have never entered a competition before so we are really looking forward to it and hoping that we do well. We have a great routine with some dramatic stunts, so hopefully it will be enough to win.”

The girls will compete in the senior squad level 2 category, against teams from as far as York, Portsmouth and Edinburgh.
