Summary

Welcome to the main page for PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, the Worcester Teacher Accreditation Course

The PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education is designed specifically for lecturers, tutors and supporters of student learning in Higher Education. The modules provide an opportunity for programme participants to gain knowledge and expertise in learning and teaching and to articulate the relationship between current theory and research and the practical context in which they work. The emphasis is on developing practitioners who constantly reflect upon their own professional practice, who understand teaching as facilitating learning and who seek to improve the quality of both their teaching and their students' learning.

All modules of the PGCert are mandatory in order to meet professional body standards. This award is accredited by the Staff and Educational Development Association and by the Higher Education Academy. The PG Cert sits within the UCW Masters in Education programme and it is possible to continue study, after successful completion of the PGCert in L&T in HE, towards a full Masters award.

The course starts in September each academic year and you can see the timetable for the first semester by using the Timetable link on the right.
